How Hoeflation And Hyperinflation Are Linked

Leading To Higher Female Body Count

One of my followers asked me to expand on one part of a podcast episode on how hoeflation naturally leads to a generally increased Body Count for women (despite what modern self-reported-based studies claim).

I will use Zimbabwe, where I lived, soon after they kicked out the White Farmers.

When there is price stability ("gravity") with a credible Central Bank with sound interest policy and public trust, you are in a "normal" market.

This went out the window when Mugabe decided to implement a land reform policy.

This increased inflation, which can usually be pulled back with cuts in government spending and rising rates.

However, the regime did the opposite, increasing government spending and money printing, which led to a decline in trust in the Zimbabwe dollar and kicked off the hyperinflation cycle.

This is where "escape velocity" came in. Where prices rose so fast that people no longer trusted money, and consumers started to buy immediately before prices rose more. Accelerating velocity of money

Hyperinflation's "escape velocity" occurs when inflation stems from policy errors and becomes a runaway psychological systemic loop that is too fast, hot, and far gone.

So, now that we have illustrated the economic example, what about hoeflation?

There is a perceived rise in the "cost" or difficulty in modern dating, equivalent to the rapid self-reinforcing collapse of currency value. As men are the leaders and are expected to pay, this makes women the goods for which they transact.

This is bolstered by dating app culture, increased options, and shifting gender dynamics reinforced by modern discourse and social media. The excess in the money supply leads to a loss of trust in the currency. The rise of contradicting voices creates even more confusion for market participants.

Then, hoeflation becomes unstoppable via all these feedback loops where traditional effort and values can't compete; this is why people who came back on the dating market after COVID-19 are pretty startled at how things changed.

This leads to currency collapse with disillusionment, frustration and withdrawal from dating for many guys who feel it is not worth it or they can't compete. Money is worthless, so you have to spend fast; effort does not matter, so there is mutual understanding between the genders where women make it more transactional as they gain more value from it. Guys who can pay it, but at a higher monetary price, do that to compensate for the non-monetary effort they don't want to make.

So, hoeflation reaches "escape velocity" when dating becomes so transactional, gamified, and skewed that authentic connection struggles to survive, just like money loses its value in hyperinflation.

But What About Body Count, you might ask?

You must ask yourself: In the context of hyperinflation, do transactions occur more or less?

Counterintuitively, more transactions take place than not despite the constantly increasing price. Still, this psychological factor makes them faster and more frantic.

Transactional volume increases, but meaningful economic activity breaks down. There is a lot of buying, but it is not productive; it is panic spending and barter systems. So, while the number of transactions goes up (Body Count on the women's part), the economic value per transaction drops despite the higher currency denomination (Emotional Investment, Time, and Romantic Effort on the men's part).

It is a byproduct of a lack of trust in the general market.

To address the issue, when living in Zimbabwe, people had to go to the "Yugoslavs" managed Black Market (ironic, you might say).

In hoeflation, guys will either try to continue to compete by spending more directly or indirectly or opt out entirely, as women are not as needed as food is.

Eventually, hyperinflation devalues currency, hoeflation devalues connection. In both, people stop trusting the system and start playing by their own survival rules.
